S.H. Figuarts Sailor Moon Review

"In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!"
I'm back with another review! This time, I picked up the S.H. Figuarts Super Sailor Moon figure from an anime store. Click "read more" to hear my thoughts about the figure. Warning! This may be picture heavy!

Like many people out there, Sailor Moon was an integral part of the what started my love for anime. It was also because of the series that I began to draw and improve my skills. Although I'm not invested in much as anime as I used to be, Sailor Moon is one of the dear anime and manga series that remain close to my heart (●´□`)♡

Okay. Stories aside, Super Sailor Moon is my favorite Sailor Moon outfit of the whole series. When I discovered that a Super Sailor Moon figuart was being produced, I freaked. However, I didn't press that pre-order button and I waited until I would see the figure being sold at the anime store I occasionally go to. A few months ago, I found the glorious figure sitting on the shelf and shelled out the $37.99 to pay for it. Below are the many photos I took as I unboxed the figure.

PACKAGING
The box art is so pretty (♡´౪`♡)
The bottom of the box just contains the UPC code and the official Bluefin Distribution sticker (the official U.S. distributor for the Bandai figures). The accessories consist of 3 extra faces, 11 extra hands, the moon rod and chalice, and a stand.

THE REPLACEMENT
Unfortunately, upon removing the figure from the box, the hand broke off with the peg inside. I was debating whether or not I should try to fix it myself, but I wasn't able to remove the broken peg from the inside of the hand and wasn't going to try that pin drill method people have used to fix their broken figures. I finally decided to contact Bluefin for a replacement. The whole replacing process took about a month until I was shipped a new figure. Overall, I thought their customer service was great. The rep I talked to was very courteous and patient with me. The new figure pretty much contained everything. The only difference was that the hand wasn't broken

THE REVIEW
I really enjoyed playing around with the different poses this figure allows. The paint job on mine is beautiful. I'm obsessed with the translucent ombré of her hair and back bow. I also really adore the pearlescent effect her fuku has. The few cons are the restriction of the bow and the hair. Many others who've reviewed this product also discussed this negative. It would've been nice to be able to pose her in the Rainbow Moon Heartache pose, but I'm not too disappointed with that fact. Overall, if you are a fan of Sailor Moon, this figure is worth it. I still cannot get over how beautiful it is (✿ ♥‿♥)
